Dr. Farhan Ahmad, Hon. B.Sc., D.D.S.
Principal Dentist
Dr. Ahmad relocated from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Toronto after high school to pursue his education at the University of Toronto. There, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree, along with an Honours Bachelor of Science (Hon. B.Sc.) in Pharmacology and Human Biology.
He then had the privilege of completing advanced training through a hospital-based General Practice Residency (G.P.R.) at Hartford Hospital’s Dental and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department in Hartford, Connecticut. This specialized program, offered in collaboration with the University of Connecticut’s Department of Dentistry, is a distinction held by a select group of dentists. His residency included rotations in Hartford Hospital’s Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine, and Internal Medicine departments, further enhancing his expertise.
Beyond his formal education, Dr. Ahmad remains committed to ongoing learning, dedicating hundreds of hours to staying at the forefront of advancements in dentistry to provide his patients with the highest quality care.
Dr. Ahmad provides a comprehensive range of dental services, including:

Throughout his formal training, Dr. Ahmad was actively involved in research at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry, the Department of Chemistry, as well as The Hospital for Sick Children’s Department of Nephrology and Mount Sinai Hospital’s Fred A. Litwin Center for Cancer Genetics. His research has been published in respected journals, including Proteins, Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers & Prevention, and the Ontario Dental Students Journal.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Ahmad enjoys quality time with his family, playing soccer, cycling, and outdoor activities.

Associate Dentist
Dr Safa has had a lifelong passion for improving the health and wellbeing of others. With these interests at heart, she pursued a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University and then a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Western Ontario.
Since then Dr. Safa has been helping patients create healthy beautiful smiles. She takes great pride in her work and the goodwill that comes from helping alleviate pain, improving health and quality of life and watching someone brimming with self-confidence with a new smile.
Dr Safa is pleased to be a part of the team at Scottsdale Dental. She is committed to providing excellent care. With her warm and sincere personality she is dedicated to ensuring all patients have a pleasant and comfortable dental visit.
Outside of work, Dr Safa enjoys spending time with her three young children. They enjoy swimming and reading books together.
